After a few weeks on my Powerslide equipment I am writing about one of the more underrated products that Powerslide has to offer. When it comes to frames there are a few common traits that make the difference between a good frame and a great frame.

The first test of a great frame is the weight. The Triple X² is among the elite weighing in at just 210g for the 4x110 size frame. The 7005 Aluminum used  allows the frame to be ultralight without sacrificing the structure. A lightweight frame such as this one is beneficial for athletes wanting to reach the next level because it allows for more foot speed.

After the weight a great frame must be stiff. The Triple X² has the X-Extrusion design for stiffness. You can find the 'X' design on the longitudinal profile, side wall, and bridges. The 7005 Aluminum is not only great for creating a lightweight frame but for maintaining the strength and stiffness of the frame.

The final test of a great frame is if it is responsive. In order to be a great frame it must be able to give back to the athlete. In tough situations a frame may be needed to give a little in certain areas to allow the athlete to get a solid push when conditions are not perfect, how quickly that frame can return to it's original shape is the response. The Triple X² not only gives but it returns extremely fast allowing the athlete to get a superior push in less than perfect conditions without any hesitation.

In the end, I am very pleased with another Championship caliber product Powerslide has on the market. When I first put this frame on I was instantly pleased with the response it gave me when I had to skate indoor.
